The Minister of Agriculture Visited the Northern State

On his regular visits to the states, H.E.Prof Elzubeir Bashir Taha visited the Northern State on Saturday 3/1/2009 in order to oversee the progress in wheat production in the States, the visit covered the schemes of Alburgaig, Sugrab, Kabirnarti and Abu Fatma, the total cultivated area of wheat reached 300,000 fed whereas the other agricultural practices such as irrigation , fertilizer application and pest control( when necessary) are ongoing . In his address to the farmers Prof Elzubeir commended the farmerʼs efforts in developing wheat production in the state.
