exports and imports of agricultural Sudan in 2007: Affects the position of exports and imports of various food commodities to the country's food security situation, through their direct impact on the quantities available for consumption. The review of exports and imports during the year in 2007 as follows: -- 6-1. First: agricultural exports: - The structure of agricultural exports from the Sudanese follows: 6-1-1. Plant basic commodities: The food grains and oil seeds. 6-1-2. Plant non-core commodities: The vegetables and fruit and hibiscus love watermelon and dates, medicinal and aromatic plants. 6-1-3. Industrial goods originating in agriculture: Such as sugar, vegetable oils. 6-1-4. Animal basic commodities: includes meat and live animals. 6-1-5. Animal non-core commodities: including fish and wildlife. The total proceeds of agricultural exports during the year 2007 reached 447283.6 thousand dollars, which has about 321356 U.S. dollars for exports of staple food commodities, and about 125927.6 thousand dollars for other agricultural exports. The following is a summary of the main agricultural exports: Group registered the highest export value of the basic animal in the structure of agricultural exports, amounting to around (50.6%), followed by exports of goods essential to plant (37.7%), while exports of goods occupied the plant ranked fourth non-core rate (5.5%). The sesame crop issued a list of agricultural exports, a rate (28.9%), followed by exports of other animals and sheep exports, amounting to (25.08%) (19.6%), respectively, the highest agricultural exports. It notes the significant decline in exports of animal in general, since the tail fish exports amounted to a list of exports (0.02%). (Table 6-1). Second: Other agricultural exports: These exports are classified into three main groups: non-food commodities exports of major agricultural exports and exports of cash medicinal plants. 6-2-1. Exports of key non-food commodities: This group includes some animal products (honey naturally), and crops stimulants, and some woody plants and pulses, have formed the exports value of 0,633 million, of total exports of other agricultural commodities (agenda 6-2-1). Agricultural exports of cash: This group most important export cotton, gum Arabic, have been recorded exports (21.3%) (16.1%) respectively among the agricultural exports of cash, which amounted to (38.7%), among other agricultural commodity exports (table 6-2-2) . Exports of medicinal and aromatic plants: Alsnmke crops are considered the most important crops and henna this group, Exports amounted to about 1226, 24 thousand dollars respectively. In general, it can be said that the exports of non-core animals and meat have dropped significantly in the year (2007) compared to the precedent, which reported this group of exports Saturday (0.11%) of the value of exports of agricultural commodities. It should be noted, the high value of exports of maize due to high quantities exported, while exports have declined camels very much a result of lower quantities. Agricultural imports in 2007 compared to the year in 2006: Seen from Table (6-4) increased values of imports of most agricultural commodities in 2007 than in public in 2006, rising significantly and imports of animal and vegetable oils, tea, coffee, sweets and biscuits, vegetables, rice and meat at rates hit 8.98% 8.12%, 5.73, 3.54%, 3.23%, 2.55%, 0.16% respectively, while imports declined wheat, fruits, spices, wheat flour, sugar, rates hit 61.38%, 3.81%, 1.42%, 0.71%, 0.31% to Respectively, while imports recorded Sudan of rice stable in general.
